Contact information was exchanged. Call scheduled to verbally tell story to each other and receive feedback. Call tentatively scheduled for 4/5/13 at 8-9PM.
4/5/13 8:30 PM - Carolyn called Elizabeth to verify that the scheduled meeting would take place. Due to a family issue, meeting was rescheduled for 9:30 PM.
4/5/13 9:30PM - Elizabeth called Carolyn to tell stories. Both storytellers talked about how much harder this assignment seemed because as educators, both are used to being able to rely on books and notes for information. This was a very different type of activity for both. Carolyn began the storytelling with her tale of Fin M'Coul (multiple spellings of this name exist). The story was well done and entertaining. This story was part of both participants text set. Carolyn explained that she had selected the story because of the strength and intelligence of Fin's wife. Elizabeth then told her story of Fair, Brown, and Trembling which is an obvious Cinderella type story. Both tellers offered constructive feed back and agreed to write up feedback documentation as required and make sure the other received it by Monday via email.
4/6/13 12:17PM - Carolyn called Elizabeth about joining the wiki. Elizabeth responded that she would send the invitation Monday from work since that was where she had full access to her computer. Discussed changes that storytellers were planning.
4/11/13 9:59 PM - Carolyn called Elizabeth about hte look of the wiki and issues with accessing it. Both discussed how to overcome these issues. Problem was resolved. Personal conversations and visiting occurred including discussion of this project and library science school. Both discussed recording issues and Elizabeth discussed the challenge of finding a captive audience.
4/12/13 9:44 AM - Elizabeth sent Carolyn a text message about the changes to the wiki.
